Biography
Rebecca grew up in Wisconsin and began playing violin at the age of 3. She has 15 years of experience performing for wedding ceremonies. In 2004, she received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied violin performance with Vartan Manoogian and chamber music with Parry Karp of the Pro Arte Quartet. She specializes in ceremony music and loves to cater to the specific tastes and styles or music desired by each couple. If you are looking for a traditional ceremony with elegant classical music, or are having a more countrified outdoor ceremony, Rebecca will bring joyful sounds to make your special day more memorable. Additionally, Rebecca gladly will collaborate with pianists and vocalists at your church. She it the three time Wisconsin State Fiddle Champion. She was a section violinist with the Madison Symphony Orchestra where she performed with Andre Watts, Jean-Yves Thibaudeut, and Vladamir Spivakov. In 2010 she was invited to perform in chamber orchestra conducted by Osmo Vanska of the Minnesota Orchestra.
In the spring of 2013, Rebecca performed as a member of the Ensemble Symphonique de Neuchatel with performances at Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland. Currently, she makes her home in Austin, TX and plays weddings in Austin and the Hill Country.
